Just after this surgery, we took a trip to Philadelphia, PA to check out a program that we had heard about that was yielding great results. This would change out lives completely; but, better yet, it would change Noah's life for the better.

We found out about The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential by what seemed like an "accident" (but what we think was providence). What we had found out from conventional doctors was that the most a brain-injured person could hope for was to perhaps gain some benefit from physical therapy. What we found out at the Institutes was that through hard work and a specialized program, we could hope for much more.

So we came home and started doing the program we had been assigned, and boy were we pleased! We almost immediately saw a reduction in Noah's seizures (which now are gone altogether without medication). And we also saw a reduction in rigidity.

The improvement is slow -- but steady.
