When Noah was 10 months old, he underwent his first surgery. Because his brain had lost so much tissue, his head had actually gotten smaller, which caused the sutures in his skull to fuse early. In order to make sure that his brain had room to grow, the neurosurgeon thought in necessary to go in and take Noah's skull apart. He was so little, and we were terrified. But we trusted the Lord, and here he is just a couple weeks after the successful procedure -- and, yes, still with a smile.
