This morning I asked Noah if he had dreamed anything last night, and he pointed very hard to "Yes". "Was it a good dream?" I asked. Another big, "Yes". And then he added, "I dreamed that I walked..." Now at this point I thought, "Wow, he is dreaming about walking one day! That's great!" But there was more. "I dreamed that I walked onto the football field, and I got to kick a field goal from the fifty yard line to win the game!"
I have had many people ask me why we do this program, and how we keep going day after day working so hard. I think Noah has answered that much better than I ever could. It also struck me that he said, "I got to" not "I had to".
It is a great lesson to anyone. When I see a brain-injured person, no matter how severe, I see a person with dreams, big dreams that are no less important than my own. And aren't accomplished dreams sweeter for everyone they touch when there was more to overcome.
Noah's army is a group of volunteers united in doing a program that will give Noah the best chance he has for reaching his potential. Come by any time for news on his progress and to see pictures of him and his brother.
Prayer Requests
UPDATED 08/20/12
1. Please pray that we can continue to get our new house set up for all of Noah's needs and that we can find all the volunteers we needs to do Noah's program (this is always a big, slow process when we move).
3. Our other big request is for Noah's hip. Noah's out-of-joint left hip is really holding him back. He needs range of motion, and he needs the muscles that are too tight to loosen up and the loose muscles to tighten up and get bigger. Pray for a new type of physical therapy we are started specifically to help the hip.

Noah, I'm going to start praying for your dream to come true. And I can't wait to see it happen!
