We have some solids leads on what is causing Noah's reflux and digestional problems! Two of the Institutes doctors that we saw this past trip suggested a special and rare urine analysis test that checks for yeast overgrowth in the digestion track, which has come back positive. Normally one doesn't get too excited over tests that come back showing there is a problem, but in our situation we have known for quite a while there is a problem -- we just couldn't find it. But it looks like now we have -- or at least a big part of it. AND it is treatable!

Yeast over growths can occur in many areas of the body (as most of us are only too aware) -- even the toe nails (yes, yeast is a fungus)! Yeast over growths in the intestines are rarely ever found because few doctors test for them -- as a matter of fact few labs even do the tests. Then again, many doctors would have put Noah on some of the more nasty digestive medications to try to help Noah's reflux, and when they didn't work (and increased his seizures), they would have suggested surgery. And the surgery to "fix" reflux only works about half the time.

Anyway, we praise God for answers and a way to treat the problem!
