I know it has been a while since I posted, but we have been busy! Noah has been doing some amazing crawling. It is a huge difference in his quality and quantity of movement, and when I see him crawling a foot or two off the incline, I want to laugh, cry, and jump for joy. The fact that we have gone from Noah crawling 0 feet per day on the flat floor to up to 15 feet is almost sureal. It is a reminder to me that anything is possible!
It has also opened up a whole new use for his switch toys (see the Feb. 27 post). Usually I put a switch on his tray with a toy after he eats. He plays with a toy and I clean up. But now we can put the switch toy four or five feet off the incline, and he can crawl to it to play with it. And his eyes simply light up the whole time. Now that he knows he can crawl off the incline, he gives a massive effort every time with which he is never frustrated.
The biggest frustration we have had lately is that Noah has been sick for the first time in several months, and it has been a rough one! But he is on the mend and I hope to have some pictures and/or video to show you soon!
Noah's army is a group of volunteers united in doing a program that will give Noah the best chance he has for reaching his potential. Come by any time for news on his progress and to see pictures of him and his brother.
Prayer Requests
UPDATED 08/20/12
1. Please pray that we can continue to get our new house set up for all of Noah's needs and that we can find all the volunteers we needs to do Noah's program (this is always a big, slow process when we move).
3. Our other big request is for Noah's hip. Noah's out-of-joint left hip is really holding him back. He needs range of motion, and he needs the muscles that are too tight to loosen up and the loose muscles to tighten up and get bigger. Pray for a new type of physical therapy we are started specifically to help the hip.
