Well, we finally got home Saturday evening (after over a million recitations from Eli of, "Are we there yet?") to see our brand new roof that was required after that nasty hailstorm back in March, and to our great relief we all liked it.
It is always nice to get home after being gone for a week, but particularly nice when one is excited about a new program. After all that time, energy, and effort over the week to hopefully get the program that will work best, it is a great relief to get home and feel like it is, indeed, the best program for him.
The really exciting news is that Noah will no longer be doing inclines -- because he doesn't need them!! After impressing everyone with his superior display of crawling a week ago, it was decided that crawling is exactly what he needs to do most of.
We were a little worried at first to think of getting rid of the incline, but after watching him this morning on his first day back to physical program, I, at least, am fully ready to toss it out into the yard, set fire to it, and dance wildly around it (fully clothed of course -- I do actually like my neighbors). One of his goals (several months away) is to crawl 1 meter in 2 minutes consistently. Well, he crawled 37 inches this morning in two minutes!! His first day back!!!
That little rascal -- I bet he could have done it months ago if we had just gotten rid of that darn incline floor!!!
Noah's army is a group of volunteers united in doing a program that will give Noah the best chance he has for reaching his potential. Come by any time for news on his progress and to see pictures of him and his brother.
Prayer Requests
UPDATED 08/20/12
1. Please pray that we can continue to get our new house set up for all of Noah's needs and that we can find all the volunteers we needs to do Noah's program (this is always a big, slow process when we move).
3. Our other big request is for Noah's hip. Noah's out-of-joint left hip is really holding him back. He needs range of motion, and he needs the muscles that are too tight to loosen up and the loose muscles to tighten up and get bigger. Pray for a new type of physical therapy we are started specifically to help the hip.
