Homeopathic Fever Reducer

It amazes me that a child can look at you with a 103 plus fever and smile. Noah did just that on Friday morning -- I would have been laying in bed moaning. When the fever crept up to 104, he stopped smiling so much, and I began to worry.

This is a problem I have been having when Noah gets a nasty virus. I took him to the Doctor on Friday whom diagnosed him with a nasty throat virus (when the strep test was negative), and told me to give him Tylenol and Motrin for the fever, which would last three or four days. Well, Noah can take Tylenol, but it did nothing to bring down the fever. Motrin, on the other hand, causes him to vomit immediately.

I decided to see if I could find a homeopathic remedy. Now, I don't have the space or expertise to describe homeopathic remedies, but I have used them in the past with some success. I got out my homeopathic remedy book and headed to Whole Foods, but I worried about whether or not Noah could tolerate the added ingredients (alcohol for a simple example).

I was very pleased to find that they carried a few King bio Homeopathic Remedies, which have no crazy ingredients. Namely they had one called "Children's Fever Reliever". It is also fairly easy to find online for reasonable prices.

The first evening his fever only went down a degree or so, but enough to stop the Tylenol. We continued it through the night and the next day his fever stayed in the 100's. After 36 hours from onset, the fever was gone and didn't return. So this will be a definite go to for Noah during fever!
