Look at this precious boy! Doesn't he look proud? This is his third tooth loss to date, but the first one we have recovered. Yes, the first two were lunch time calcium supplements, though I'm not really sure about the absorbtion rate of minerals in whole teeth. We are, however, excited that the tooth fairy will have physical evidence of the loss for which to render payment.
We were actually at Noah's regular dental cleaning, when about ten seconds after the dental hygenist commented on the looseness of the tooth, she bumped it and it popped right off. Immediately it was clear that this tooth would go the way of his other teeth without immediate action. I flipped him quickly onto his stomach and started making him laugh while the two (yes, two) hygenists dug it out of his mouth. All three of us gave a whoop or two when we finally retrieved this tiny treasure, while Noah looked at us like we were insane.
Ah, the little things...
