I know I haven't posted in a while, but I thought everyone would like to know that we are headed back up to Philly!! We are really looking forward to seeing our good friends in the clinic and getting some new ideas about what we need to do with Noah.
There are several things I would like to see us as to Noah's program. For the physical program, walking is the number one thing I want to add back on. Walking in the Gravity Assisted Environment was always one of Noah's favorite physical programs, and I think it will really help his overall improvement.
Physiologically, I am looking forward to our visit with the very innovative and "out of the box" physician that we will see on Thursday. His name is Dr. Cheikin, and he always has some new supplement that helps Noah tremendously with whatever physiological problem he is having. He and the other doctors look at a huge panel of blood work that we have done before each trip, and they are so experienced with kids like Noah that they have a great understanding of what a slightly low magnesium level or a slightly high red blood cell count means for Noah whereas the typical doctor might overlook that number.
Anyway, we are very excited, and maybe we can start uploading some pictures soon.
Noah's army is a group of volunteers united in doing a program that will give Noah the best chance he has for reaching his potential. Come by any time for news on his progress and to see pictures of him and his brother.
Prayer Requests
UPDATED 08/20/12
1. Please pray that we can continue to get our new house set up for all of Noah's needs and that we can find all the volunteers we needs to do Noah's program (this is always a big, slow process when we move).
3. Our other big request is for Noah's hip. Noah's out-of-joint left hip is really holding him back. He needs range of motion, and he needs the muscles that are too tight to loosen up and the loose muscles to tighten up and get bigger. Pray for a new type of physical therapy we are started specifically to help the hip.
