Evaluation

Of course this picture doesn't really have a lot to do with Evaluation, but it is a very sweet picture of Noah getting some rest. We have had a rough weekend -- including a trip to the ER -- Noah has croup. He is recovering well, though; and as you can see, he is getting rest every chance he gets.

Evaluation day went really well. We saw the eye doctor first thing this morning, and Noah's vision has greatly improved. A year ago, Noah's vision was 20/400 in both eyes. Less than six months ago it was 20/200 in his left eye and 20/180 in his right eye. Today it was 20/150 in his left eye, and 20/100 in his right eye. And the doctor said it probably would have been better if he hadn't been sick!

Noah has grown about three and a quarter inches (350% of normal for his age), and Noah received credit for prehensile grasp (a scientific term meaning he reached out, grabbed a little rubber frog, and picked it up). If you know Noah, that is a very big deal!

We are very excited about his new programs (that are quickly getting too complicate to explain here), and we can't wait to get home and get started. While the illnesses have certainly slowed things down this week, we can praise the Lord that because we don't have lectures this time, we have two extra days to get everything in.
Oh! And I almost forgot to add -- the x-ray on Noah's left hip showed significant improvement from six months ago!

Wow. It sounds like you guys have had a great visit! I am so happy that you started this sight. You guys are a big part of the reason I miss G'ville so much. I am so excited that Noah continues to improve so much with each visit. We will continue praying for him.
