Well, we were only at the clinic for a few hours today, which means we are going to have a long one tomorrow! That's OK though since we had such a long day yesterday. Noah was able to get some rest, and I managed to make the apartment we are staying in livable by getting all the stuff put up that we had only previously had time to throw into the rooms.
We saw Dr. Morales today who spent a lot of time checking Noah out from a medical stand point, and did a lot with Noah's left hip. They have a new program to help loosen muscles that are pulling the hip wrongly and stimulate the muscles that aren't pulling it enough. Part of this utilizes electric stem -- for which I'll have to create a schedule to keep Drew from using it when Noah needs it. I am really excited about this because it seems a much more plausible solution for his hip problems. There are some other things we talked about relating to the hip and are probably going to see a doctor next week that does some medical treatments that have been successful with kids like Noah with stubborn hip issues. He gets that stubbornness from his father!
Tomorrow we will see Dr. Morales again in the morning, and he will likely give us some things to do with Noah over the weekend. After that we will see Noah's advocate (our main contact/program person from the Institutes) and we will go over all the information from this last period after which he will do Noah's evaluation. That should get us a little bit ahead for next week, because we have a ton of people to see!
Meanwhile, Eli is having a blast with Grandaddy. I can hardly get him to talk to me on the phone because he is too busy playing! Tomorrow Eli will go Trick-or-Treating with cousin Riley, and Noah will wear his astronaut costume to the clinic. Should be lots of fun all around. Anyway, most posts will feature photo's of Noah over the next couple of days, so I wanted to show you the one that Grandaddy texted us today of Eli. Grandaddy and Eli carved the pumpkin (hopefully Eli just watched). Then Grandaddy kept lighting the candle just to watch Eli blow it out again. Glad to know they are enjoying safe activities.
