I love doing facilitated communication with Noah. It is like a window into his personality, which otherwise can be difficult to see. Basically, I pull his hand back (the motion he cannot do on his own), and he points forward to the letters on a little card. When he gets tired, it is very difficult, but when he has plenty of energy what he has to say is very clear. This morning was one of those times. He had been reading several stories from Greek mythology, and he had the following to say about it:
I like to ready mythology because it is interesting. It is about the gods of ancient civilizations. It isn't real, but it's fun to read about.
I know that this is just a little blurb -- Noah gets tired after just a few minutes -- but I see something so sweet in everything he says.
Noah's army is a group of volunteers united in doing a program that will give Noah the best chance he has for reaching his potential. Come by any time for news on his progress and to see pictures of him and his brother.
Prayer Requests
UPDATED 08/20/12
1. Please pray that we can continue to get our new house set up for all of Noah's needs and that we can find all the volunteers we needs to do Noah's program (this is always a big, slow process when we move).
3. Our other big request is for Noah's hip. Noah's out-of-joint left hip is really holding him back. He needs range of motion, and he needs the muscles that are too tight to loosen up and the loose muscles to tighten up and get bigger. Pray for a new type of physical therapy we are started specifically to help the hip.
