Each city we have lived in has been a new adventure -- and this one is no exception. As a matter of fact, I'm not really sure that we really live within any city limits, so I can't really call this a new city. Many of our new adventures have been of the great out doors variety. We have not yet seen any black bears (I'm told they are generally fall time visitors), but we have seen lots of smaller critters including a beaver, lots of lizards, and a corn snake (which was unfortunately mistaken for a copperhead and, therefore, lost its head - perhaps we should just get a cat to keep away the mice?). One of our neighbors asked us to please call if we get a wild boar in our yard because, "Them's good eatin'". Anyway, we look forward to many more outdoor adventures hoping that they are all of the nonvenomous variety!
So this is what we did this summer so far:
We played with wet weapons,
and made gluten free treats when some cousins visited.
We had a slip-n-slide relay
that got everybody wet and tired
so that they were all calm (i.e. tired) enough to watch a movie!
We had a contest to see who could fit their fist in their mouths,
which Isaiah was very proud to have won.
Eli got his first set of pads, and played in his first game.
Noah enjoyed his baby brother
and his "middle" brother.
We acted very silly,
and took the occasional nap,
which gave the needed energy to wrestle with Grandaddy.
It was a very, very fun summer!!
